Thorpe Primary Academy Achieves myHappymind Silver Accreditation

Thorpe Primary Academy is proud to announce that it has been awarded Silver Accreditation from myHappymind, recognising the school’s strong commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of its pupils.

The myHappymind accreditation programme celebrates schools that successfully embed a whole-school approach to mental wellbeing. Achieving Silver status means that Thorpe Primary Academy has demonstrated how the principles of the myHappymind programme are actively brought to life throughout the school community.

At Thorpe Primary Academy, the mental health and wellbeing of children is considered a top priority.

Through the programme, pupils are learning vital life skills that help them build resilience, develop confidence and strengthen their self-esteem. They are also taught practical strategies to help them self-regulate and manage emotions during challenging or stressful moments.

The accreditation is the result of a collective effort from the entire school community. Staff, children, governors and parents have all played an important role in embracing and supporting the myHappymind approach, helping to create a positive culture where emotional wellbeing is nurtured every day.

Mr Jamie Parkhouse, Head Teacher of Thorpe Primary Academy said: “We are incredibly proud to receive the myHappymind Silver Accreditation. Supporting our children’s mental health and wellbeing is fundamental to helping them thrive both in school and beyond. This recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, pupils, governors and families who work together to ensure our school is a happy, supportive environment for every child.”
