Student from Jack Hunt Academy to Represent Team GB World Championships in Chicago

Mr Hussnain Ali, a student at Jack Hunt Academy has been selected to represent Team GB at the Tang Soo Do World Championships in Chicago.

A dedicated martial artist and Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, Hussnain has been training for over a decade, progressing through regional, national, and European competitions, and earning the prestigious title of Junior National Grand Champion.

His commitment, discipline, and perseverance exemplify the core values of Jack Hunt Academy – hard work, integrity, and kindness.

Hussnain said: “This is a huge honour and I am really grateful to Jack Hunt Academy for all their support. Representing Team GB and my club on the world stage is a dream come true, and I couldn’t have done it without my mum, who has always supported me. I’m excited and ready to give it everything I’ve got at the World Championships.”

Hussnain will be travelling to Chicago in July with his mother, who has been a constant source of support throughout his training and competitive career. However, attending an international event of this scale comes with considerable costs, including travel, accommodation, and competition fees.

To help make this opportunity possible, Jack Hunt Academy has launched a fundraising campaign, inviting the community to support Hussnain’s journey. Every donation, no matter the size, and every share of the fundraising page will make a real difference.

Headteacher Mr Hebblethwaite said: “We are incredibly proud of Hussnain and his remarkable achievement in being selected to represent Team GB. His dedication, resilience, and passion reflect our school values perfectly. We encourage everyone in the community to rally behind him as he prepares to compete on the world stage.”
